Aaron is a native New Mexican born in Albuquerque. He graduated with a B.A. in English and Psychology, cum laude, from the University of New Mexico in 1999. He received his Juris Doctorate from the UNM school of Law in 2004. While in law school, he represented the student body as president of the Graduate and Professional Student Association.

Mr. Kugler joined Allen, Shepherd & Lewis, P.A. in 2003 and was admitted to the New Mexico Bar in 2004. He is also admitted to the Federal District Court for the District of New Mexico and the 10th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. Mr. Kugler is a member of the New Mexico Defense Lawyers Association, the Defense Research Institute and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Kugler has tried cases in New Mexico State District Court, the New Mexico Workers' Compensation Administration, and to an arbitrator.

Mr. Kugler practices in the areas of commercial litigation, construction defect litigation, and personal injury defense, including wrongful death, premises liability, products liability and automobile accidents. Mr. Kugler has a Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell. He has also earned the distinction of "Rising Star" in the Southwest Super Lawyers magazine in the area of Personal Injury General: Defense in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
